Prior to your initial session, we will complete an intake process and consultation reviewing the contrindications and precautions of Kambo. The water and food fasting protocol will be reviewed so you are best prepared for the session.
During the initial session, we will discuss the location of the Kambo application on your body. Small superficial blister points will be created on the skin allowing the Kambo secretion to enter the body. Only the outermost layer, the epidermis, is delicately removed to form these entry points or "gates." Typically, the initial session consists of opening 3-5 gates.
Next, you will drink approximately 3 cups of water (3/4 liter).
In your initial session, a single dot of Kambo will be applied to determine your relationship with Kambo. The remaining Kambo dots will then be applied 5 minutes later.
Once the Kambo secretion is applied to the gate(s), the peptides quickly enter the bloodstrem and the effects manifest rapidly (within the initial 30 seconds to a minute) but are transient (lasting around 5-7 minutes) and include the following:
- warm flush
- accelerate heart rate
- pulsating in the head
- temporary numbness or tingling in lips, ears, and tongue
- dizziness or light-headness
The initial phase is then succeeded by feelings of flu-like symptoms (last around 10-15 minutes) where you may feel the following:
- sensations of weakness
- bodyaches
- nausea
At this time, you may feel the urge to purge. Note that not everyone purges and it is not obligatory to physically purge to receive the benefits of the Kambo peptides. Sometimes the purge is energetic, emotional, spiritual or physical. Trust your body and Kambo to manifest in the best way for you!
Around 20 minutes, the Kambo secretion will be removed and the flu-like symptoms will usually swiftly decline. You may then transition into a deeply relaxed state, occasionally accompanied by feelings of euphoria. After a recovery period, you may find your vigor restored, and ready to return to your daily activities. The effects of the Kambo secretion and peptides will continue to manifest with some positive effects lasting weeks or months post-session.
